The Zhenguo Group was developed in 1986 based on
the Tonghua Mount Changbai Medicine Research
Institute of Jilin Province by the research
fellow Wang Zhenguo, one of China' 10
outstanding youth at the first selection program
and young expert with outstanding contributions
of the People's Republic of China. Under the

Additionally, there are tumor prevention and
treatment clinics, jointly operated pharmaceutical
factories, bear breeding center, etc. in more than
300 cities at home and abroad. The group has formed
into en enterprise of scientific and technological
type with science, industry, trade and medical
science integrated as a whole.
The main
purpose of the group is to research and develop
medicines against cancer, senility and other
difficult-to-cure and persistent diseases using
precious natural medical materials in Mount Changbai.
In cooperation with 25 scientific and clinic units
such as American National Cancer Center, Medicine
Research Institute of China Medical Science Academy,
Guang'anmeng Hospital of Chinese Medicine Research
Institute of China, etc. and more than 130 famed
experts both home and abroad, 30 new products have
been researched and developed with the anti-cancer
medicines of the "Goddess" series as the
main. The products, as confirmed by the American
National Cancer Center, have the distinct killing
effect on cancer cells. Right now, the anti-cancer
medicine is being used to treat more than 2 million
of cancer patients in more than 70 countries, and is
reputed as "effective medicine for saving one's

The research results of the invention by the
group have won 6 grand prixes one after
another. In 1989,at the 38th Urica World
Invention Expo, the academic leader of the
group, research fellow Wang Zhenguo was given
the highest individual research award, general
medal, and knight medal because of his
invention of composite Goddess anti-cancer
medicine - a new anti-cancer medicine. This is
the highest honor first won by a person from
China since China's participation in the Urica
award assessment activities. Patents have been
applied in 6 countries like America, Japan,

Accumulated sum of 180 million yuan of profits and
taxes have been earned for the state. The medicine
takes the first place among exported anti-cancer
medicines of the same kind of China. For this, the

TV play, hot spot news, and special theme reports by
Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, Peoples' Daily, etc. At
the same time, numerous famed publications in
America, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. also

The development of the group is closely

Secretary Jiang Zeming received four times
Chairman of the group Wang Zhenguo. On January
10 1991, he came in person to the Jilin
Tonghua Mount Changbai Medicine Research
Institute and made an inscription of the name
of the institute. In 1992, the state awarded
this group the title of "Outstanding
Non-governmental Science and Technology Unit
